Crap. Almost all modern guy haircuts make them look like they're gay... even those style sample books are a great example of it. Sorry, I can't help you.
Teenage spans 7 years though so maybe more specific on his age. I've always thought spiky hair would suit indian boys but i'm white and don't know many. I've seen them with it before and i think its a good look though.
i would go for ear length with lots of layers straight with a side fringe something like zac efrons hair but that needs a lot of care needs straightening every day otherwise will look stupid
